Michael,

I will bring your request to the next Board's meeting which will be on Mar-27-05 and will let you know the result. Until then, I'm afraid that no one has authorization to sign check bigger than $500 for unapproved reason.

When two Non-Profit Organizations work together, the main thing we need is TRUST. It seems to me that you're afraid TLBT will keep that money.

TLBT was founded in 1977 and currently has about 1500 members worldwide in our database. Our website attracts about 1000 visits per day. Besides email and internet, I sent out 2000 flyers of Tu Tu's story last month. The first batch of San Jose and surrounding cities are responding to our call sending donation to TLBT and to BSTTW (most if not all donors on your list are TLBT's members in San Jose). You will see other cities and states start to respond very soon after they receive TLBT postal mail (non-profit rate mails take about 3 weeks to get to destinations).

If we (at TLBT) have any bad thought of keeping that money, we won't update the list as soon as we receive the money and make it public on the web. I don't know how BSTTW raised fund before but looking at your list, most of donors (if not all) are Vietnamese and TLBT's members. So if you have any thought that TLBT might keep Tu Tu's money, please erase it because everyone knows that money is raised for Tu Tu only, not for TLBT. If we want to raise money for ourself, we don't need to use anyone's name. This time, we use our reputation to help your organization, so I hope you don't have that bad thought.

In this humanity project, we even paid money for printing, mailing and PayPal's charges. Have you ever heard that TLBT will deduct those expenses? NO, right? You didn't hear it because we planned to bear that cost for Tu Tu. Can your organization do that?

Another thing is that if we find out that's a scam, we will announce it, apologize to our members and refund all money to originators. You can rest assured that TLBT won't keep a penny on that Tu Tu's list.

Did you send out anything to the American communities? I looked at your list and I don't see any American donors.

Regards,
Minh

Minh,

I hope all is well for you and the family. I need to ask you to speak to the board at TLBT and inform them that BSTTW needs TLBT to send BSTTW a check for the funding raised for the BSTTW Ho Tu Tu Fund as of today March 7, 2005.

It is getting close to Tu Tu and Ms. Nu coming to the USA. BSTTW is beginning to have preparation expenses and needs to have the money in our account. We may be asked to purchase the airplane tickets and we must have the money in our account prior to that request.

The remainder of the funds raised between March 8, 2005 and April 15, 2005 should be able to wait until April 16, 2005 to be given to BSTTW.

As per our agreement, when BSTTW receives the funding from TLBT, we will write a thank you letter and send that to you. I will make sure that is done for the first and second check.

Yesterday I was interviewed for the Viet Mercury newspaper. I will let you know if the article has been accepted and if it is accepted, which edition it will be in.

Thanks

Michael
